چکیده
Wildfires are one of the gravest and most momentous hazards affecting rich forest biomes worldwide; India is hotspots due to its diverse types human-induced reasons. This research aims identify wildfire risk zones in two contrasting climate zones, Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary Western Ghats Kedarnath Himalayas, using geospatial tools, analytical hierarchy process (AHP), fuzzy-AHP models assess impacts various conditioning factors compare efficacy models. Both wildlife sanctuaries were severely battered by fires past, with more than 100 fire incidences considered for this modeling. analysis found that both natural anthropogenic responsible occurrences sanctuaries. The validation maps, utilizing receiver operating characteristic (ROC) method, proved have outstanding prediction accuracy training datasets, F-AHP model having a slight edge over other model. results statistical matrices such as sensitivity, accuracy, Kappa index also confirmed better AHP According model, about 22.49% 17.12% fall within very-high zones. created will serve tool implementing effective policies intended reduce impact fires, even protected areas similar types, terrain, climatic conditions.

متن کاملForests and rangelands? wildfire risk zoning using GIS and AHP techniques
Wildfire in forests and rangelands, apart from its initiating causes, is considered as an ecological disaster. Zoning natural areas according to their susceptibility to fire helps to put off operations and reduces catastrophic losses caused through a wise management plan. In this study, the zoning map of wildfire risk in forest and rangeland areas has been produced using GIS, Analytical Hierarc...

متن کاملAn approach to AHP decision in a dynamic context
AHP (analytic hierarchy process) is used to construct coherent aggregate results from preference data provided by decision makers. Pairwise comparison, used by AHP, shares a common weakness with other input formats used to represent user preferences, namely, that the input mode is static. In other words, users must provide all the preference data at the same time, and the criteria must be compl...
